If you’re a regular visitor to the website, you may have noticed something slightly different… Indie Handmade has had a re-vamp! Various bits and pieces had been bugging me for a while now and something had to give.

At the beginning of January I started brainstorming new designs and ideas. My main aim was to improve site-wide usability. I wanted to simplify things and have a tidy up as well as make everything generally more pleasing to the eye. Several scrap papers and obsessive self emails later and the new Indie Handmade is finally live to the world.

Key Changes

• Important information pages (such as About, Contact & Ordering) have been moved to the top of the website so that they are easier to locate.
• The Shopping Cart has been made more of a feature. It’s visibly present at the top of every page throughout the website, with simple links to either view the cart or checkout.
• Improved search and tag facility. These are now more accurate and clear in displaying results and only searches relevant areas of the website.

Customer Feedback Gallery

The feedback page has also had a makeover. As well as leaving comments, customers can now optionally upload pictures of themselves and include a link to their Facebook and Twitter accounts (should they wish to), making the website a bit more interactive and giving it a more personal feel.
